Jazzmar Clax bound for Temple?

Temple appears to be a likely destination for Neptune High School (N.J.) senior linebacker Jazzmar Clax.

The 5-foot-11, 220-pounder was leaning towards playing at Maryland until the Terrapins ran out of scholarships for the linebacker position.

“Temple is a school on the rise,” Clax told ESPN Insider's Roger Brown. “I could make my mark there.”

Clax, who's regarded as a three-star recruit by ESPN, has scholarship offers from Temple, Minnesota, Rutgers and Arizona State. However, he hasn't heard from the Sun Devils after head coach Dennis Erickson was fired in November.

Owlsblog.com is reporting that Temple coach Steve Addazio is schedule to visit Clax this week. The run stopper is regarded as New Jersey's 13th best recruit in the Class of 2012, according to ESPN.

It would be nice if we could land a three star recruit over a few legit BCS programs. Go get him Daz!
