Scottie Reynolds' hopes of catching on with the Phoenix Suns as the third point guard are on hold.

Reynolds, who went undrafted, is in Las Vegas for the NBA Summer League but has not played because of an Achilles' injury suffered in training with Kyle Lowry, another former Villanova star.

"Even though it hurts right now I know it will all work out in the long run," Reynolds told the Arizona Republic. "I feel like there is a big opportunity for me and that is another reason I don't want to mess anything up for eight months. It's killing me. Slow death."

Reynolds is hopeful he could return tonight in the third of the Suns' five games in Vegas.

He is also optimistic about catching on with the Suns, whom he said run a similar system to Villanova's.

"I fit their style perfectly," he said. "I feel like I'm at home."
