It’s not about Temple.

At least, that’s how George Washington coach Mike Lonergan feels.

“Well, we are struggling right now," said Lonergan, whose squad faces the Owls in Wednesday's Atlantic Ten game at the Liacouras Center. "We are really worried more about our game plan for us.

"We know that Temple is a great team with a great coach [Fran Dunphy]. And we’re just hoping to  …  figure out the best lineup to put out there to give us a chance to win.”

A victory over the Owls (17-5, 6-2 A-10) is highly unlikely.

George Washington (8-15, 3-6) has lost four straight games and 14 of 18.

The Colonials rank last in the conference in three-pointers made (4.5 per game) and three-point defense (36.5 percent).  They also rank next to last in the conference in scoring (62.2 points per game) and free throw percentage (65.8).

To make matters worse, Temple owns a 50-16 all-time series advantage against George Washington.

“I have great respect for them,” said Lonergan, whose squad has lost four straight to Temple. “I know they are very good. Our problems really lie with our own team.”

Here’s a glimpse at the projected starters and coaches’ information:

I thought that Temple would have a bad game against Fordham, but it seems that GW was the team to whip the Owls.
