Wingo-Reeves decommits from Temple, picks UVa

Connor Wingo-Reeves, a senior linebacker at Monacan High School (Va.), backed out of his oral commitment to Temple Sunday to accept Virginia's scholarship offer.

"They are both great schools," Wingo-Reeves told the Richmond Times-Dispatch. "I just couldn't turn down U.Va."

Wingo-Reeves committed to Temple back in August. The Cavaliers had been recruiting him but never offered the 6-foot-3, 225-pounder a scholarship until Sunday. Wingo-Reeves accepted it on the spot.

He finished this past season with 92 tackles, two interceptions and two pass breakups.
