A-10 can't compete with Big East lure

It's no secret that Atlantic Ten Conference commissioner Bernadette McGlade wants Temple to remain a league member.

But she's not naive.

The lure of playing in a Bowl Championship Subdivision conference is a major drawl and something her league can't compete with.

"Temple is a valued member of the A-10," McGlade said in a statement Thursday. "However, we are well aware that finding the right home for its FBS football program will drive its future membership decision for all sports.

"The Atlantic 10 is a large, strong league and I will continue to work with our membership in the best interest of the conference."
