Football Player of the year

Penn junior wide receiver Justin Watson was a standout for a team that won its second consecutive Ivy League title on the final day of the regular season. One of 15 finalists for the Walter Payton Award, presented to the top offensive player in FCS football, Watson was a unanimous first-team, all-Ivy selection and a finalist for Ivy League offensive player of the year for the second straight season. He set single-season Penn records for receptions (89) and receiving yards (1,115) and had eight touchdowns and 1,248 all-purpose yards.

Field hockey Player of the year

St. Joseph's sophomore forward Anna Willocks was named the Atlantic Ten offensive player of the year for the second straight season after leading the conference with 25 goals. Her 1.19 goals per game ranked second in NCAA Division I. Totaling 12 assists to finish the season with 62 points, Willocks ranked third in Division I with 2.95 points per game. She scored in 16 of her team's 21 games, including nine multiple-goal games.

Men's soccer Player of the year

Arcadia's Bradley McKim is a three-time all-MAC Commonwealth honoree, earning first-team accolades for the 2015 and 2016 seasons as well as second-team recognition in 2014. In 2015, McKim was named to the NSCAA all-Region third team. In 2016, he led the Knights in goals (11), game-winning goals (3), assists (5), and points (27).

Women's soccer Player of the year

Eastern senior forward Emily Cole became the first Eastern women's soccer player to receive CoSIDA Academic all-American honors this season, being one of 33 elite Division III student-athletes named. A three-time all-MAC Freedom honoree, Cole led the Eagles with 16 goals and two assists in 2016. She ended her Eastern career tied for fifth in goals and points.

Men's cross-country Runner of the year

Villanova senior Patrick Tiernan is a three-time academic all-area honoree. His resumé includes the 2016 NCAA individual cross-country championship - the first by a Villanova runner since 1963 - three NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional titles, and four United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association all-America laurels. Tiernan competed for Australia in the 2016 Olympic Games and was the first student-athlete in Big East history to win the conference's individual title four straight times.

Women's cross-country Runner of the year

Penn senior Ashley Montgomery earned all-America honors this season by finishing 13th at the NCAA national championships. Her finish tied for the best all-time in Penn history, and she finished second at the Ivy League heptagonal championships and sixth at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional. She finished as the top Quakers runner in all seven meets in which she competed, including two first-place finishes.

Women's volleyball Player of the year

Eastern senior Alicia Weigel finished her career with 1,008 kills for the Eagles. She was named to the 2016 AVCA all-Mid-Atlantic Region first team and the 2016 MAC Freedom first team. Weigel led her team to a 32-6 record and a No. 13 national ranking this season, with the Eagles advancing to the NCAA championship quarterfinal round.
