Penn State football to host Temple at noon on Sept. 17

The Penn State football team is scheduled to host Temple at noon on Sept. 17, the school announced Monday. The Nittany Lions opened the 2015 season at Temple, and the Owls earned a 27-10 win. The last time Temple visited Beaver Stadium, in 2014, Penn State won, 30-13.

Penn State also announced it will open the 2016 season in Beaver Stadium against Kent State on Sept. 3 at 3:30 p.m..

Both the Temple and Kent State games are to be shown on the Big Ten Network.

The Nittany Lions had already announced a visit to Pittsburgh on Sept. 10 at noon and hosting Maryland for Homecoming on Oct. 8 at noon.

Penn State will also host Ohio State for the Penn State White Out on Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. and Iowa for Seats for Service Members on Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m.

Penn State's game at Rutgers is slated for an 8 p.m. on Nov. 19.
