Penn's Priore is Ivy League coach of the year

Ray Priore's Penn Quakers captured a share of the Ivy League football title in his first season at the helm. On Tuesday, Priore was named coach of the year in voting by the league's eight head coaches.
In his 29th season on the Quakers' staff, Priore became the seventh first-year head coach to win an Ancient Eight title. He was the seventh Ivy League head coach to do so. Penn shared the crown with Dartmouth and Harvard.
Priore guided the Quakers to a 7-3 record and a 6-1 mark in the league to claim the program's 17th Ivy championship.
Four Quakers earned first-team honors on the all-Ivy team: linebacker Tyler Drake, wide receiver Justin Watson, quarterback Alek Torgersen, and offensive lineman Tanner Thexton.
Penn's players on the all-league second team were defensive back Ian Dobbins, defensive lineman Loukas Nossem, tight end Ryan O'Malley, and offensive lineman Daniel Poulus. Defensive lineman Dan Connaughton, offensive lineman Nick Demers, and linebacker Donald Panciello earned honorable mention.
