Former Temple University football player Matt Brown was one of two people arrested Tuesday by Baltimore police on human-trafficking charges.

Brown, a running back for the Owls from 2009-12, and Anthony Eley Jr. were taken into custody after detectives identified the pair as the men who brought three girls ages 14, 16 and 17 to a hotel and knew they were underage and engaging in prostitution, according to reports. Baltimore police set up the arrest by responding to an advertisement known to be used by prostitutes. The girls were then taken into custody as victims of human trafficking.

SKIING Lindsey Vonn, 30, claimed the season-long super-G title at the World Cup finals in Meribel, France, two years after a career-threatening knee injury. COLLEGE WRESTLING Several Penn State wrestlers advanced to the quarterfinals at the NCAA championships in St. Louis.

James Lawson of Penn State won a 5-2 decision over Michael Kroells of Minnesota at 285 pounds. Morgan McIntosh of the Nittany Lions beat Aaron Studebaker of Nebraska, 14-5 for a major decision at 197 pounds. Matthew McCutcheon of Penn State, won a 3-1 decision over Kenny Counts of Ohio State at 184 pounds The Nittany Lions' Matthew Brown won a 10-2 major decision over Santiago Martinez of Lehigh at 174 pounds.

Charles Cobb of Penn won a 4-3 decision over Brandon Sorenson of Iowa at 149 pounds. Kenny Devoy of Drexel won a sudden-victory 3-1 decision over Caleb Richardson of Penn, and James Gulibon of Penn State won an 8-4 decision over Jade Rouser of Virginia at 133 pounds.

Not advancing were Penn State's Jordan Conaway (125), Drexel's David Pearce (141), Penn State's Zack Beitz and Drexel's Matthew Cimato (149), Drexel's Matt Blanco and Penn's Brooks Martino (157), Penn's Lorenzo Thomas (184), and Penn's Canaan Bethea (197).
