Philadelphia University to host Reebok hoops event
A YEAR after attracting some of the biggest names in high school basketall last year in the July live recruiting period, the Reebok Classic Breakout is returning to Philadelphia from today through Friday at Philadelphia University's Gallagher Center.
The tournament attracted more 200 college coaches last year, even drawing the attention of Kentucky's John Calipari, Miami's James Larrañaga and Louisville's Rick Pitino.
Among the alumni from this event in recent years are Nik Stauskas, a former Michigan guard and the No. 8 overall selection in the 2014 NBA draft; Zach LaVine, former UCLA guard and No. 13 pick in the draft; and Kentucky stars Andrew and Aaron Harrison.
