St. Joseph's senior guard Langston Galloway has an even demeanor and doesn't get too high or low based on his varying performances.

After struggling in Wednesday's 57-54 win at Rhode Island, Galloway was simply unconscious with a school-record 10 three-point field goals during an 87-72 victory over Fordham in an Atlantic Ten game Saturday at Hagan Arena.

A game after shooting 2 for 12 overall and 1 for 6 from beyond the arc, Galloway hit 10 of 15 three-pointers in scoring a career-high 33 points.

"As a shooter you don't worry about the last game - you go out there and play," Galloway said. "The coaching staff and my uncle [St. Joe's assistant Geoff Arnold] and everybody tell me to go out there without a conscience, because if you are a shooter you can't have a conscience, and that is what I did tonight."

St. Joseph's (19-7, 9-3 A-10) has exceeded its win total from last year, when the Hawks went 18-14.

The Hawks, who have won four in a row, remained in sole possession of second place in the A-10. The top four teams will earn first-round byes in the league tournament. The Hawks also remain very much in the NCAA tournament picture.

Fordham (9-16, 2-10) was led by guard Bryan Smith, who had 28 points and hit six three-pointers.

Leading by 44-34 early in the second half, the Hawks went on a 21-2 run, scoring those points on seven straight possessions. Galloway had five three-pointers in the stretch.

The previous school record for three-pointers in a game was nine by Brian Leahy on Jan. 17, 1988, against Duquesne.

St. Joseph's coach Phil Martelli said a key was Galloway's showing no hesitation when he had a shot.

"I like the fact it was quick-twitch," Martelli said. "He shot it when he was open, and that was a real plus."

Galloway's previous high for three-pointers was seven against Fordham on Jan. 11, 2012.

"Some games it is tougher for him to get looks," said forward Halil Kanacevic, who had a team-high five assists. "Today I think we did a great job getting him really good looks, and he did a good job himself getting open. If he is going to get open like that, he is going to knock them down."

Galloway said he didn't know how many treys he had hit during the game.

"I was just shooting and hoping it was going in," he said. "It was feeling good tonight, so I kept on shooting."

And the Hawks kept looking for him, for good reason.
