Elena Delle Donne had 41 points and 15 rebounds to lead No. 15 Delaware to an 84-66 win over visiting Hofstra on Thursday night in a meeting of the top two teams in the Colonial Athletic Association.

With the score tied at 55 midway through the second half, the Blue Hens (17-1, 8-0 CAA) went on a 14-0 run to take control. Delle Donne, who leads the nation in scoring, started the run by getting a rebound, dribbling up the court and firing a no-look pass to Jocelyn Bailey for a lay-in.

Hofstra (14-5, 6-2) could get no closer than 12 the rest of the way. Shante Evans had 22 points to lead the Pride.

Drexel 47, VCU 41 - The Dragons outlasted the host Rams in CAA action in Richmond, Va.

Kamile Nacickaite led all scorers with 17 points, while Fiona Flanagan added a career-high 10 for the Dragons (10-8, 6-2). More important was the Dragons' ability to frustrate the Rams' two big offensive weapons: Courtney Hurt and Andrea Barbour, who came in averaging over 40 points per game combined but were held to just 23 points. VCU fell to 11-8, 4-4.

Drexel has won five times on the road this season, matching last year's total with four road contests still to play. Three of those road wins have come in league play.

Penn State 77, Michigan 56 - Maggie Lucas had 23 points and eight rebounds to help the No. 18 Nittany Lions beat the Spartans in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Alex Bentley had 18 points and eight assists, and Nikki Greene added 13 points and 11 rebounds to help Penn State (16-4, 6-2 Big Ten) win its fifth straight.

Meanwhile, Michigan (16-5, 5-3) lost at home for the first time this season.
