Reid, a 5-10, 205-pound running back who also played defense, spent his senior season at Harriton High School after transferring from St. Joseph's Prep. He also was being recruited by Delaware.

Temple also has received a verbal commitment from Clinton "Juice" Granger, a 6-3, 235-pound quarterback from Pierce Junior College in Los Angeles.

Granger was a senior at George Washington High School in 2007, and also spent time at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas.

He will have three seasons of eligibility remaining, and can play next season.

National signing day is Wednesday. Owls coach Steve Addazio, who has been on the job less than a month, cannot officially comment until then.
