La Salle's Green scores 18, Villanova's Reynolds 6 in All-Star game

La Salle's Rodney Green scored 18 points, Villanova's Scottie Reynolds had six and seven assists, but their Hershey team lost to Reese's, 106-101, in the annual Reese's College Senior All-Star game yesterday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianpolis.

The game featured an East-West breakdown, with Houston's Aubrey Coleman leading the winners with 14 points in just 16 minutes. Five of his teammates also scored in double figures.

Hershey's leading scorer was Lazar Hayward, of Marquette, with a game-high 23 points, which included five three-pointers, with also a game-high seven rebounds. Vanderbilt's Jermaine Beal scored 17 points for Hershey.

The game's MVPs were Hayward for Hershey and California's Jerome Randle, who had 12 points and seven assists, for Reese's.

The game is sponsored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, who selected the players.
