Temple update: Owls have won seven straight. They blew an 18-point, fourth-quarter lead last week at home to Miami (Ohio) but won by two on a short field goal at the end Freshman Bernard Pierce is the third-leading rusher in FBS, with at least 178 yards in each of last three games. With 14 rushing TDs, he is one away from tying Paul Palmer's school record. Owls host Kent State next week in last home game.
