Miami (Ohio) at Temple

Records: Miami 1-8, 1-4 MAC; Temple 6-2, 4-0.

History: Temple leads, 2-1. The Owls won last year at Miami, 28-10.

Miami update: The RedHawks, under first-year coach Michael Haywood, beat Toledo last week, 31-24 ... Trevor Cook set a school record with a 55-yard FG ... Freshman Zac Dysert is averaging 276 yards passing per game ... Miami hasn't won consecutive MAC games since 2007.

Temple update: Owls have won six straight for first time since 1973, are bowl-eligible for first time since 1990 ... Bernard Pierce has rushed for 479 yards in last two games, is already over 1,000 for season ... Passing game has had issues, as have long snaps on punts ... Defense, particularly against rush, has been strong ... Owls are at Akron next Friday night.

Villanova at Richmond

History: Villanova leads, 19-9.

'Nova won at home last year, 26-20, but lost at Richmond in 2007 and '05.

Villanova update: The Wildcats are coming off a bye ... They're 1-6 against No. 1 teams, but the win was over Richmond last year ... QB Chris Whitney leads team in rushing, with 561 yards on 117 carries ... Matt Szczur leads CAA in all-purpose yardage (133 pg) and scoring (6 ppg) ... 'Cats haven't thrown ball consistently enough ... They're hard to run against ... Next week at Towson.

Richmond update: Spiders, defending national champs, have won last 17 ... Outscoring opponents by average of 32-15 ... Very good against run ... Eric Ward has thrown for 1,451 yards and 12 TDs and is also a threat with his feet ... Justin Forte has rushed for 738 yards and five scores.

Princeton at Penn

History: Princeton leads, 63-36-1. Penn has won last two meetings.

Princeton update: Tigers are last in Ivies in scoring, at 11 ppg ... Tommy Worsham has thrown for more than 1,000 yards and six TDs. Also the top rusher, averaging 39 ypg ... Tigers have allowed fewest sacks in league ... LB Steven Cody is second in FCS in tackles, at 11 per game ... Next-to-last in league in rush defense and sacks, last in punt and kickoff returns ... Ben Bologna is 4-for-8 on FGs, with three blocks.

Penn update: Quakers coming off 14-7 overtime win at Brown ... They might have starting QB Keiffer Garton (knee sprain) back for limited availability ... They've given up 23 points in last four games, scored first last six games ... Next week they're at Harvard, the only other unbeaten team left in the Ivies.
