Bruce Arians was named the interim head coach of the Indianapolis Colts Monday morning after it was announced that Colts coach Chuck Pagano has been diagnosed with leukemia. Pagano will be hospitalized six to eight weeks.

Arians was Temple's head coach from 1983 to 1988. He compiled a 23-38 record on North Broad Street. The York native was hired as the Colts' offensive coordinator during the offseason.  He served as the Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator from 2007 to 2011.

Pagano, 51, is in his first season with the Colts (1-2).

Would like to see Arians do well in the role, I'm sure he would have preferred getting the job under different circumstances. Considering the lack of resources the university provided during his tenure when you look back on it he really did a pretty good job at Temple.
