MIRED IN a stretch of four consecutive fights without a knockout, lightweight Karl "Dynamite" Dargan earned an emphatic victory on Saturday night, defeating fellow Philadelphian Anthony Flores via a fifth-round TKO at the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in Wilkes-Barre.

With the victory, the 29-year-old Dargan (16-0, 8 knockouts) remained undefeated and retained his USBA Atlantic Coast Region lightweight title. He controlled the fight, which was stopped by referee Gary Rosato 42 seconds into the fifth round.

It was Dargan's first TKO since Sept. 8, 2012, when he earned a fourth-round stoppage in a six-round bout against Jesse Carradine.

Flores, 26, fell to 11-5-1.

The bout was featured on NBCSN's "Fight Night." In the main event, Nadjib Mohammedi (35-3, 21 KOs) defeated Anatoliy Anatoliy Dudchenko (19-3, 13 KOs) via seventh-round TKO to put himself in line to challenge for the IBF light-heavyweight belt held by Bernard Hopkins.
