BERLIN - Wladimir Klitschko will defend his heavyweight titles against Philadelphia-based challenger Eddie Chambers on March 20.
Klitschko's management said yesterday that the fight would take place at the Esprit Arena in Duesseldorf, Germany. Klitschko holds the IBF, WBO and IBO titles.
The 33-year-old Ukrainian said he was looking forward to the fight in the "gigantic stadium," which has a capacity of 51,000.
Klitschko says the 27-year-old Chambers is the best U.S. heavyweight "and is not No. 1 in the world rankings for nothing."
A native of Pittsburgh, Chambers has a 35-1 record with 18 knockouts. He weighed only 208 pounds for his last fight, a majority decision over Ukrainian Alexander Dimitrenko on July 4.
Klitschko, 6-foot-6 and 245 pounds, is 53-3 with 47 knockouts.
