The Curse of Lehigh: An Eagles offseason timeline of awfulness

In March the Eagles announced that they would no longer be holding training camp at Lehigh University. Perhaps this angered the football gods, because things have not gone very smoothly for the Eagles ever since. An Eagles offseason timeline of awfulness:

May 14, 2013 – LeSean McCoy is sued by a woman claiming that McCoy sprayed her with a beverage, kicked her off a “party bus” somewhere along the NJ Turnpike, went back to pick her up, and dropped her off at the next rest stop.

June 4, 2013 – Cary Williams misses OTAs to pick out sconces.

June 12, 2013 – Jason Peters thinks he’s in the cast of “Fast & Furious,” gets arrested for drag racing and “resisting by flight.”

June 26, 2013 – Chip Kelly is handed an 18 month "show cause" penalty stemming from recruiting violations at Oregon.

July 23, 2013 – Rookies Brad Wing and Matthew Tucker fail their conditioning tests.

July 27, 2013 – Jeremy Maclin tears ACL in a contract year after several “good-not-great” starting WRs around the league get paid big time dollars. Done for season.

July 29, 2013 – LB and special teams maven Jason Phillips tears ACL. Done for season.

July 31, 2013 – Riley Cooper video emerges.

August 2, 2013 – Riley Cooper takes excused leave of absence.

August 6, 2013 – Arrelious Benn tears ACL. Done for season.
