As expected, guard Max Jean-Gilles has re-signed with the Eagles, the team announced.

Jean-Gilles was cut Saturday when the trade of Stacy Andrews to Seattle wasn't completed by the NFL's 6 p.m. deadline for cutting rosters to the regular-season limit of 53. Eagles officials and Jean-Gilles' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said he would return to the team today.

The roster now stands at 53, and the Birds have named 5 members of what can be an 8-member practice squad. So far we know that WR Chad Hall, RB Martell Mallett, OL Dallas Reynolds, DT Jeff Owens and C A.Q. Shipley are on.

A guess at the practice squad: Norwood, Hall, Harris, Owens, Reynolds, a tight end, two guys off the waiver wire.

Harris can't be on the PS. Plus a safety will be on there for sure.

very supriesed the eagles kept jorrick calvin on the active roster. I hope he can be a very good/ speedy kick returner for the eagles this year so he can give kolb and the offense good field position.

Glad Max is back! Practice Squad is perfect for WR Hall and TE Ingram. Definitely need to add a safety or two.

Whenever you get rid of guys named Tracy, Stacy and Kelley, it makes you at least SOUND like a tougher football team.

They should try to sign Myron Rolle to the practice squad before Tennessee calls him back.

dpcoz, as smart as that kid is, he apparently just does not have the god given physical tools to play in the NFL. And I agree, I do not think we would be looking for a rookie to be our 4th S or 3rd TE.

Reddgie - meant more as a practice squad member - I think rules prevent certain vets from being allowed on the list. It's moot anyway, he's on Tennessee's squad.
