Local broadcast schedule for Friday's games

Here are the games we'll see on KYW on Friday:

12:30 p.m.: 5. Temple vs. 12. Cornell
2:45 p.m.: 3. Pittsburgh vs. 14. Oakland
7:25 p.m.: 1. Duke vs. 16. Arkansas-Pine Bluff or 16. Winthrop
9:30 p.m.: 1. Syracuse vs. 16. Vermont

The excellent HD Sports Guide is in the process of assembling national coverage maps for all of the first-round games. As of now, Friday's aren't up yet, but I would think they will be soon. Click here for the rundown.

I fell in love with the Big 5 at first sight upon moving to Philadelphia in 2002. At various points in my journalistic career, I've covered all six of the region's Division I teams. During that time, I've eaten many soft pretzels from the Palestra's concession stands, which is how this blog got its name.

I write primarily about the University of Pennsylvania and the Ivy League, but I also cover the other basketball and football teams across the city from time to time. In the spring, you'll find coverage of the Penn Relays here.
