Villanova junior guard Corey Stokes has been cited for public urination.

The incident took place about a mile from campus outside a bar on Lancaster Avenue early Thursday morning, some 4 hours after the Wildcats’ 74-49 win over South Florida at the Pavilion.

Stokes was not arrested, but sources have indicated that he is likely to have to pay a fine.

A starter who averages nine points and four rebounds per game, he is expected to play in tomorrow night’s pivotal trip to Syracuse.

“This is a simple mistake by a college student,” coach Jay Wright said in a statement. “Corey regrets it and has apologized for it. We will now deal with it within our basketball family.”

Real "news worthy" story here....Killers and drug dealers roam the streets unhindered, and this story gets ink. I hope the police earned their salary typing up this incident report on the taxpayers dime.

Lower Merion: Let's take a guess, are there any public golf courses in LM? Wonder! Go get the golfers; well wait till the snow melts and they'll be back. Each hole, all 18.

Bet the arresting officer let him finish and pack up his 'stuff" before citing him. Geez, must have been a proud night for the Police Dept. Can hardly wait to read about their exciting work tomorrow. Taxes $$, hard at work.

Yes, the police should be selectively enforcing the law when they witness something illegal. Brilliant plan guys.
