BREAKDOWN: The Phillies traded Outman as part of a package for Joe Blanton back in 2008. They faced him last season when he was a member of the Athletics, scoring three runs in six innings against him.

RHP Alex White vs. RHP Joe Blanton

BREAKDOWN: White, acquired as part of the Ubaldo Jimenez trade last season, was a Top 75 pitching prospect before 2010 and 2011. In eight starts this season, he has a 5.56 ERA.

LHP Jeff Francis vs. RHP Vance Worley

BREAKDOWN: Francis had a rough go of it in his first start of 2009, allowing eight runs in 3 1/3 innings against the Angels.

LHP Cliff Lee vs. RHP James Shields

BREAKDOWN: The Phillies last faced Shields in Game 2 of the 2008 World Series, when he held them scoreless for 5 2/3 innings of the Rays' only win.
