Former Temple running back Bernard Pierce, a member of the 2013 Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens, was carjacked and robbed at gunpoint Sunday night on the 7500 block of Haverford Avenue, according to a CBS3 report.

Pierce, an Ardmore native, had his BMW stolen during the robbery, but police later recovered the vehicle.

More from Walt Hunter of CBS:

Pierce and a male companion, sources say, were shaken but were not injured during the robbery. Sources say a gunman jumped from a car while his accomplice remained behind the wheel and robbed Pierce and his companion, then stole the vehicle.
