The Phillies appear to be looking at Michael Young of the Texas Rangers to help bolster their infield.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the Phillies and Rangers are in "advanced talks" for a trade that would bring Young to Philadelphia in exchange for "a minor-league pitcher."

The Inquirer's Bob Brookover wrote Thursday morning that the pitcher in question could be Michael Schwimer.

If the deal is completed, the Rangers would pay for a large portion of the $16 million Young is owed in outstanding salary.
