Boston College wide receivers coach Ryan Day will be introduced as Temple’s offensive coordinator, according to the Boston Globe.

The Globe article said “an official announcement is expected soon.”

An Owls spokesperson would only confirm that Temple will announce additions to the coaching staff early this week.

Temple tight ends coach Matt Rhule was believed to be the leading candidate for the offensive coordinator position that was vacated when Scot Loeffler resigned last month to take the same job at Auburn.

Assuming the Globe's report is true, a source said there's a chance Day and Rhule, who was heavily involved in Temple’s game planning last season, could be co-offensive coordinators.

Day was Temple’s wide receivers coach in 2006.
