Phillies fall to Blue Jays, 5-2

Philadelphia starter Roy Halladay had a rough start to his final tune-up before his Opening Day start as the visiting Toronto Blue Jays jumped on their former ace for four runs in the top of the first inning to win 5-2.

Juan Bautista and Adam Lind doubled, and Aaron Hill blasted his fourth home run of the spring in the first inning.

Bautista went 2-for-4, pushing his spring average to .447.
 
Blue Jays starter Brett Cecil went six strong innings, keeping the Phillies' offense in check. The only runs the Phillies managed came on solo blasts by Placido Polanco and Ben Francisco.
 
Scott Downs, Jason Frasor and Merkin Valdez each tossed a hitless inning in relief for the Jays.
 
The Phillies received another strong effort from their bullpen. Ryan Madson, Chad Durbin, Justin DeFratus Tyson Brummett and Chris Kissock combined to allow one earned run over the final six innings.
