Quarterback Donovan McNabb and safety Quintin Mikell were officially added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster this morning.

It's McNabb's sixth Pro Bowl selection and the first for Mikell.

McNabb replaces Drew Brees and Mikell replaces Roman Harper. The two Saints cannot play in the Pro Bowl because they are playing in the Super Bowl the following week. Harper had been an injury replacement for Arizona's Adrian Wilson.

The Eagles now have nine players going to Miami for Sunday's game. The nine players are the most since 10 players were selected for the game after the 2004 season, the year the Eagles went to the Super Bowl.

The other Birds scheduled to play in the game are wide receiver DeSean Jackson, offensive tackle Jason Peters, long snapper Jon Dorenbos, fullback Leonard Weaver, defensive end Trent Cole, cornerback Asante Samuel and kicker David Akers.

ONLY ONE IN LONDON

The NFL said it will only have one game in London next season -- the previously announced game between the 49ers and Broncos at Wembley Stadium on Oct. 31. The NFL cited the economy and also the collective bargaining situation between the league and its players for not adding a second game. The Eagles had been rumored to be the 49ers' opponent in London.

Donovan McNabb had a good season, and he is at the top of his game. It is a shame that he is still the scapegoat for the team's failure to win a championship. Without him this team would have had at best, a 7-9 season. We don't have a good time, it is seriously flawed. There is no ability to effectvely and consistently run the ball, protect the passer; and on defense, we don't have the ability to put pressure on the passer. We did not beat a time with a winning record this season. We had unrealistic expectations going into the playoffs. The 11 win season was based on the weak schedule. Philly fans are the worst in the country, all you do is spew hatred towards Mcnabb. Phillly sports writers have no class. You are all calling for Mcnabb to be run out of town.

I guess Banner was right about the best roster comment. So, I guess it's a coaching issue then. Enjoy the next 4 years.

We'd much rather have no one playing in the pro bowl.

Mikell is getting rewarded for his strong 2008 season. He blew in 2009!! Donovan, I always defend him when people say he stinks. Because if you look around, he's top 7 or 8 in the league. But its time to go to Kolb next year. Donovan has taken the birds as far as he can. Dump McNabb, start Kolb, and build this Defense!! Money needs to be spent on that side of the ball!

Mikell, WTF! Mikell stunk in '08 too, he was just better then what we had. without demps and Dawkins around to make him look good, he was exposed as the Sean Considine wannabe he is.

It took Les only a few seasons after the switch to figure out that there was no penalty box at the Linc, and that the time really wasn't his, despite what Andy Reid kept saying. Les came to Philadelphia and the Daily News from Charlotte in 1983. In the intervening years, he has pretty much lost track of NASCAR, and his accent. A native of Wilkes-Barre and a graduate of Wilkes University, Domo started his career in Texas, working first for the Midland Reporter-Telegram (1976-78), and then for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, where he covered some god-awful Texas Ranger baseball teams. His first beat at the Daily News actually was boxing, which he covered just long enough to lose 2 sports coats to blood spatter before moving on to football.
