McCoy and Celek don't practice
Jeff McLane
LeSean McCoy and Brent Celek did not practice on Thursday as the Eagles prepare for Monday night's game against the Chicago Bears.
McCoy was sent home earlier in the day because of a "stomach flu," Andy Reid said. The Eagles coach said that he didn't anticipate his starting running back missing more than one day of practice.
Rookie Dion Lewis and Ronnie Brown took repetitions in McCoy's place. Lewis missed Sunday's game against Dallas after he was involved in a car accident on the way to Lincoln Financial Field for the game. He said he felt fine.
Celek has a hip bruise, but the Eagles tight end said after practice that he expects to play Monday. Celek is coming off his best game of the season in which he caught seven passes for 94 yards and a touchdown.
Reserve linebacker Akeem Jordan suffered a concussion in the Cowboys game and still has not been cleared to return to practice.
Defensive end Brandon Graham, still on the physically unable to perform list, continues to practice. The Eagles have until Sunday 4 p.m. to decided if they want to activate him for Monday night's game. If they were to activate him they would have to release a player.
there going to Cut Parker as yall remember he was in trade rumors but who really wants a 33 year old DE who cant seem to stay healthy and i say Cut Page sign Darren Sharper atleast well have a veteran on the team in Safety VickaDelphia24
Yeah I agree so much with @december77 . Maclin and Desean, being that they not only recieve but return punts are some of the most injury accessed recievers in the league. Plus their younger receivers. Steve Smith is not leaving, we'd use him as our Desean insurance, and Avant as Maclin's insurance. Riley would just take that slot. But highly unlikely, I want to say that both Maclin and Jackson are out at the same time, unless we're resting, which won't happen most likely. But Page, is insurance safety-wise. We couldn't afford to drop him. Phillip Hunt, most likely to bounce. He just doesn't fit with all these DEs. Blazington
I'm guessing the odd man out would be Hunt. They don't need a 6th DE, and especially not one who's 244 lbs. Its either him or Parker, but Parker has way more experience and is much better against the run.
As much as we all are disappointed in Page, he's still first off the bench should Allen or Coleman go down. Though I'd rather see Jarrett get a shot, but that seems unlikely. Anderson is a special teamer only.
They're not cutting Steve Smith. Child, please... Smith hasn't gotten it going because the others ahead of him are playing too well. Avant is way more familiar with the system and is playing as well as I've ever seen him play. They also got Harbor coming in on 2 TE sets. Steve Smith was signed as insurance during the period of uncertainty regarding Maclin's health. If Maclin couldn't go, and if they didn't sign Smith, you'd be crying about why couldn't they find an appropriate replacement. Besides, I'd rather have Smith sitting on the Eagles bench then to have him bailing Elisha out of a sack on 3rd down.
The only thing that's garbage is CG25's constant whining about everything under the sun. COMPLETE GARBAGE. HORRIBLE. Are you ever happy?
december77- Dec77 You are right on point. If you remember how he used to bail them out on 3rd down time after time. I would rather have him here as insurance because anything can happen with injury. Experienced Depth can be a big help down the stretch and in he playoffs. The Giants wish they had that security right about now.

Phillip Hunt Joefl- Wow the first sensible answer. They're not cuttin Page cause they don't trust Anderson and Jarrett. Parker isn't gettin cut cause he's a vet that knows the Eagles. Smith isn't gettin cut cause they paid a lot and he has too much upside to ignore, jic they don't (god forbid) resign Desean. Philip Hunt is new to the NFL and probably the smallest of our d-line. He's the odd man out.
beerflow - just wait my friend. you'll see
lol, 2 million for a guy with microfracture surgery that has done nothing... CharlieGarner25- that's why the giants were so mad he came here? riley cooper(maybe in the redzone)?? but with his horrific route running that helped us lose to the packers?? cg25, you're a dope. the problem is that the avant is playing so well they have no room for him.
-how many times have you seen desean get hurt in game?? if smith wasn't able to play they would deactivate him.
-and steve smith cost $2mill. not $3.5 or $5.5. again, what a dope.
page looks totally lost and useless as a safety. Activate Graham and get rid of page or Hanson. Steve Smith will be alright. He will come in handy down the stretch and in the playoffs with some big 3rd down catches. He is still learning the philly way. eagleheart
Page! Pretty please. He's the worst, man. Bar none. 5NOT4
steve smith is garbage, which i said THE DAY THEY SIGNED HIM. he adds almost NOTHING. he is probably not anywhere near 100% despite what he or the eagles say. Brandon Graham just had microracture surgery too but he hasnt even been practicing the first month. This guy was out there trying to run routes at WIDE RECIEVER coming off of micro-fracture surgery which is why the giants were in no rush to re-sign him and the eagles stupidly threw 3.5 or 5.5 MILLION DOLLARS AT HIM to do NOTHING. even if maclin or djack got injured RILEY COOPER would be a better starter for this team then another small/fast WR that cant even run because he has microfraftured knee. thats brilliant. COMPLETE GARBAGE. HORRIBLE. CharlieGarner25- steve smith?? not with the way desean/maclin get banged up. besides i think he has unintentionally pushed avant to play better. avant also still plays sp teams(not 100% sure on that one)but that would leave him open to injuries. don't over react to his drop/pick vs the giants. smith is still a very good wr.
Whoever gets hurt and goes on IR.Hope that is nobody and Page gets the shown the door, we've GOT to have a practice squad safety with more promise......Here in Western PA, there is only one antidote to the Smugness I endure: A Supe victory over the Black and Gold direcly will make up for the, uh, Lombardi shortfall.....Kinda feelin QuakerBowl at the moment...C'Mon Birds, handle Da Bears, for fog can never be appreciated for its natural beauty ever again. Times yours BleedingGreenInStillerville
