The New York Rangers are unsure if goalie Henrik Lundqvist will be able to face the Flyers on Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center.

Lundqvist, off to a surprisingly shaky start, has an undisclosed minor injury, and he did not practice Monday or Tuesday.

Officially, he is listed as day to day.

Lundqvist has not been himself. He is 2-4 with a 3.45 goals-against average and .890 save percentage.

The 31-year-old goaltender has been a Flyers killer the last two seasons, compiling a combined 9-2 record and a goals-against average near 1.90.

If Lundqvist can’t play, Cam Talbot figures to make his NHL debut.

Meanwhile, goalie Steve Mason (2.37 GAA, .923 save percentage) has been the Flyers’ only bright spot in their 1-7 start.

The Rangers (2-5), who are missing injured forwards Rick Nash, Ryan Callahan and Carl Hagelin, have played all seven games on the road because Madison Square Garden is being renovated.

Both teams need to renovate their offenses. In the 30-team NHL, the Rangers are 28th (1.57 goals per game) and the Flyers are 29th (1.38).

The Flyers became the first team since 1964 to fail to score more than two goals in any of their first eight games. That helps explain Mason’s 1-5 record.

In other words, expect a low-scoring game Thursday _ no matter who is in goal for the Rangers.

Breakaways. Including the last six games of last season, captain Claude Giroux is goal-less in the last 14 games. His longest goal-less streak in one season is 13 in 2009-10…..The Rangers have been outscored, 29-11, while the Flyers have been outscored, 24-11….The Flyers are 1-4 at home, 0-3 on the road...In eight OHL games with Oshawa this season, Scott Laughton has 10 goals and 17 points.
