The Eagles have several veterans who are free agents after the season. A couple of them talked about their futures on TV after the game.

When Tra Thomas was asked if this could have been his last game as an Eagle, here's what he said.

"It definitely could have been it, but I’m in a holding pattern," Thomas told Comcast SportsNet. "We’ll just wait and see what happens. Until March 1, I’m still an Eagle."

What about Correll Buckhalter?

“It’s a business. It definitely can be possible," Buckhalter said about this possibly being his final game. "Just put it in God’s hands. I’m not too much worried about it. Every chance I had on that field, I just gave it my all. That’s all I can do."

Meanwhile, running back Brian Westbrook was asked about the possibility of not having several veterans back next season.

"Well the way the business is is that every year you’re never gonna have the same team as you had last season," Westbrook said. "Coaches moving, players moving, so it’s gonna be tough. It’s gonna be a lot of uncertainty going into that offseason. We have some older guys, some guys we hope to have back, but the way things are, is that you’re never really guaranteed to have those guys back until you really know.”

The beat guys from The Inquirer and Daily News will have expanded comments from these guys and the rest of the free agents tonight and in tomorrow's paper.

This should be an interesting offseason. Tra, Runyan, Buckhalter, Hanson and Mikell are all free agents that I want to have back (don't care about L.J.). I think they will let Tra go and move Herremins to tackle and then have Nick Cole or Jean-Gillis start at guard

I don't see Tra coming back...Runyan I think will be...2 or 3 year deal. Move either Andrews or Herremans to the outside and let Cole start at guard...he did a great job once Max J-G got hurt... I would love to see B-Dawk back...IMO he his the definition of what a Philadelphia Eagle should be...I think and hope they re-sign him. I think the rest of the FAs can be easily replaced either in the draft or via free agency.

It's tough to lose like this in a game that really matters. The one play that will stick in my mind for the entire off season is that 3 and 10 play in the final drive that Macnabb threw to Baskett. It was so far behind him and it just killed their chances to keep it moving.

Yahmpy - McNabb did not have a good day. There were numerous plays where he was behind the receiver by a large margin. You cna't let those few big chances you get a game slip away because your QB is inaccurate or cna't handle the pressure. As far as Andy Reid and Jim Johnson - both need to be fired. They have proven they can't win.

Might be the worst playoff loss ever; Tampa in 2002 was horrible but c'mon...the Cardinals??? say that three times: we lost to the Cardinals....awful loss.....defense and special teams were the downfall plus Donovan's erratic passing in the first half....shame...it was there for the taking...where was Assante and Sheldon today? Think about it: one more defensive stop after the Eagles go-ahead score and it's Tampa for us.....end of an era.

With so many new players this seems like a different team that went to the last series of championship games. Particularly on the new, young D, we saw some growing pains today from many young players who seemed to have gotten thunderstruck by the championship pressure when combined with the away crowd and the quick lead. Demps, Jordan, Bunkley all seemed to make key mistakes in that atrocious first half. Is this the end of the McNabb run or the beginning of the Demps-Bradley-Bunkley run? Or a little of both? I hope its the beginning of a new run, and if its the beginning of a new run, who do you want chucking the ball to DeSean Jackson?

Receivers, receivers, receivers... Two huge plays botched which would have been the catalysts for momentum swings. How long are we to go with CFL caliber receivers running patterns? Dump everyone but Celek, Curtis, and Jackson. I still can't get over the non-flag on 4th down...gross.

I'm a die hard Eagles fan. The better team won yesterday. The had better receivers and a better (non-injured) running back. Wouldn't that be nice to have? Needs in the off-season: New coach ("Chucky" would be nice), new Left Tackle, New Tight End, New BIG running back, New Free Safety (sorry Dawkins...we still love you)
