Injuries ...

"We look forward to the challenge of writing a blog. We all know what a difficult task this will be. We understand that.

We will not be fooled into thinking that this is easy, despite the fact that a certain unnamed person has been listed for months as a contributor to Eagletarian without having contributed so much as a syllable to the effort.

We understand the rivalry with blogs like High Cheese, and how much it means to the fans and the city, and look forward to detailing all of our work in practice this week and competing.

So, again, we look forward to the challenge of writing a blog. Time's..."

While I don't always agree, I always do read your stuff. Should be fun.

Looking forward to this blog. (seriously- i'll save the attempts at sarcasm for another day) Hofmann's columns usually offer some actual insight rather than just parroting the conventional wisdom.

So, is this an Eagles blog, Phillies blog, or just all sports Philly?

Rich, Are you at liberty to speak your true thoughts without being censored by the DN? If so, looking forward to it. Otherwise, you'll be basically speculating or answering dumb quesitons from us. Regardless, always read your columns. Good luck. Always en

Look forward to reading your thoughts. Well, not actually reading your mind like the amazing Kreskin, but your thoughts after you type them onto this blog. I generally like your stuff. You know, your collumns.

So is it possible that we will actually start getting answers as to why you must always stick up for the Phillies, Rich? You seem to be objective towards every other organization in this town except the Phillies. Why? What makes them immune to the same level of critical analysis you accurately give the other franchises? Do you know how it looks on you when the franchise with the most despised ownership in this city is the one you consistently defend? If you want this to be a legitimate blog, answer the questions that your readers want answers to.

just a little fact. 3-for-33 since his comments. that was just a side note. 2nd, why doesn't anyone ever bring up our manager? He is the worst game time manager in the league. He kills us in so many games. He is out matched every game by the manager sitting in the opposite dugout. Case in point... why is kendrick pitching? (we do have happ) Hamels not pitching against the mets? just a couple of questions. My sister could coach this team.

So is there no topic on this blog? Just Philly Sports? BTW, "The Idle Rich" sounds like another name for Phils ownership.

About Rich Hofmann
Rich Hofmann arrived at the Daily News in 1980 for a job whose status was officially designated as "full-time, temporary." A senior at Penn at the time, he was hired to fill in on the copy desk during a staff illness. The notion of him covering the Eagles or being a columnist did not exist in anyone's imagination. It was supposed to be six weeks and out, but he never left. It is only one of the reasons why so many people have concerns about him as a potential house guest. Rich has blogged the postseasons of the Flyers and Eagles.
