Eagles rookie Cornelius Ingram is back at practice after suffering a left knee contusion yesterday during minicamp. The tight end, however, is wearing a brace and is without helmet -- meaning he won't take part in non-contact drills. Bright is participating in catching drills, but co-rookie Eugene Bright should expect a lot of reps during 7 on 7s and 11 on 11s today.

In other news, the Eagles announced that defensive tackle Amon Gordon had surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles. The four-year pro injured himself last week during rookie camp. The Eagles signed Gordon in the off-season after he was waived by Tennessee.

It's sad, but this could be a career ending injury for Gordon and I don't think we even got to know him. I wish him well.

That's bad news about Gordon. They need depth at D-tackle. So it seems Trevor Laws has less company now in the backup role. I sure hope we don't keep seeing Cornelius Ingram's name in these types of reports. I was hanging on the selection of Jarred Cook in the third round of the draft, and we kept trading away, and I give them the benefit of doubt given that they acquired Hobbs, Victor Harris and a 3rd round pick later with all their trading. But they need a young TE to compete right away. If Ingram can't due to injury it will make me regret the third-round roller coaster and the lack of a healthy Jarred Cook.
