It'll be interesting to see how the Flyers respond to Friday night's demoralizing 6-3 loss in San Jose.

Tonight, they'll meet Scottie Upshall and the Phoenix Coyotes at 8 p.m. It'll be the first meeting between the teams since Upshall was swapped for Dan Carcillo, a fan favorite in Phoenix, last season.

Friday's loss in San Jose wasn't as one-sided as the final score indicates. San Jose scored two late goals to pull away from a 4-3 lead.

Still, there were plenty of shortcomings for the Flyers _ especially their defense, which allowed too many odd-man rushes. Oh, and the Flyers were outscored, 3-0, on special teams.

Coach John Stevens hinted he would go with Brian Boucher in goal tonight, but has decided to start Ray Emery.

Maybe he wants Emery to get the bad taste out of his mouth from Friday's game in San Jose.

Emery was sharp in Friday's first period, then allowed five goals the rest of the way. Again, his defense gave him little help, and the Sharks benefitted from some strange bounces.

After he walked off the ice following the game, Emery smashed his goalie's stick against a runway wall, shattering it into several pieces.

For the Flyers, there was a bright spot: Claude Giroux, who scored just once in the first 18 games, had the first two-goal game of his career, including one tally that was put into the net by a Shark.

We'll be fine. It's still relatively early in the season.

Edvanimpe is your typical moronic Rump Rangers fan. The Rump Rangers have NO shot of winning the cup this year, let alone the next Two. It is only a matter of time before Gaborik is out of the lineup with another groin injury. RANGERS SUCK!!!!!!!
