The Eagles will induct Randall Cunningham into their Honor Roll at halftime of their Week 3 game against the Chiefs.

By my count, 28 Eagles have previously received the honor, which was created in 1987 to pay tribute to "outstanding members of the organization."

The last inductions took place in 1999 when head trainer Otho Davis and the 1948 and 1949 championship teams were honored.

We last heard from Cunningham in late August during an ESPN 950 radio interview. He talked about the addition of Michael Vick, the criticism directed towards Donovan McNabb and more. Cunningham has had nothing but glowing things to say about Jeffrey Lurie and the Eagles' organization during recent interviews.

Tackle Al Wistert, who played for the Eagles in the late 1940s, will also be honored. Wistert was the first player to have his number (70) retired by the organization.

That Week 3 game is shaping up to be a pretty hot ticket. In addition to the halftime honor for Cunningham and Wistert, it will of course be the first time we see Vick in regular-season action.

Plus, who knows who the starting quarterback will be? Will McNabb be ready? Will Kolb be the man? Jeff Garcia? I would say there's no way Vick would start at QB, but then again, I also said there was no way he would be an Eagle a couple months ago.

This story was first reported by the AP.

Earlier we posted on the affordability of going to Eagles game compared to other teams around the league.

Congrats, Randall- the Ultimate weapon for the Birds, until that disastrous injury in 1992, I think. The season he had prior to that injury had everybody thinking Super Bowl, with such a dominating defense. Jim McMahon did ok in relief, but for me personally, in 25 seasons as a die hard birds' fan, that year was the most painful-knowing that we had the best team in football with Randall. Personally, though, I always thought Randall was a little bit weird off the field, but on the field, an innovator and just plain fun to watch. That 90 yard punt, the bomb from the endzone (Buffalo was it?), the MNF game where he bounced off Carl banks and the Giants...so many good memories. The only Eagles game I went to was the playoff win against Detroit in 95, and that was 12's last game as an Eagle, where he came in the 2nd half of that blowout and was recognized by the Vet fans. Congrats again, Randall

I love Randall, but McNabb is the greatest QB in Eagles history. McNabb's stats blow Cunnungham away. McNabb's Eagles records include has Most Playoff Wins (9), Most Pass Completions (2534), Most Passing Yards (29,320, Most Passing Touchdowns (194), Most Single-Season Completions (345, 2008 season), Most Single-Season Yards (3,916, 2008 season), Most NFC Championship Appearances (5). McNabb's career passer rating of 85.9 ranks 12th among NFL players with at least 2,500 pass attempts. Only three players with as many attempts as McNabb have a higher rating: Manning, Marino, and Montana. This is very select company.

Sigh.....poor soft-headed lonewolf... Blind hatred is such an awful thing. I LOVE Randall. But to say that he's the greatest modern day qb the eagles ever had??? And to think he's going into the HOF?!?!? Are you truly that delusional!?!!! Then again you do think Kolb is better than McNabb, so I really shouldn't be shocked. You TRULY are a piece of work.

Albany, please don't confuse wiff with concrete facts. The same guy who says other QBs would have won SBs with JJs D idolizes the QB who couldn't win with the best Eagle defense of all time and also couldn't win with one of the best offenses of all time in Minny. Apparently you can hate 1 QB who hasn't won a SB while at the same time praise another QB who never won a SB. That's why I call him wiffocrite. Every day he just gets more stupid. Albany, you a NYer too?

Good gawd, after looking through those picks of Antone Davis, Bubby Brister, Lester Holmes, Rich Kotite and Randall in a Dallas uni, I need some brain bleach. My favorite Randall moment is captured in pic 5. The vaGiants came into the Vet undefeated and looking ahead to playing also undefeated SF the following week. I bet the loudmouth vaGiant fan in my office a sixpack, and to make it interesting the loser had to deliver it on his knees wearing the winning teams jersey. The Iggles knocked their dicks in the dirt, 31-13. Old Milwalkee never tasted so sweet.
