Just some quick links to pass along in between the Madness:

* The Eagles were among 10 teams to take a look at Armanti Edwards during Appalachian State's Pro Day this week, per the Rock Hill Herald. Edwards was a QB in college, most known for leading the Mountaineers to one of college football's greatest upsets over Michigan. According to the report, teams are looking at him at a variety of positions, including return man and wide receiver.

* Earlier this week, we referenced Peter King's MMQB column on SI.com, in which he mentioned that the Eagles had both Marty Mornhinweg and QBs coach James Urban at Fordham's Pro Day last week to check out quarterback prospect John Skelton. Wes Bunting of the National Football Post noted on Twitter that he's hearing from sources that the Eagles "seem to have a lot of interest" in Skelton. Again, the team's job this time of year is to check out pretty much everyone, so don't get carried away. Just thought I'd mention it.

* The Tim Tebow mania continues nationally. ESPN's Chris Mortensen has a list of coaches and GMs that were at Florida's Pro Day, although the Eagles were not listed. The Sporting News, meanwhile, reports that five teams will take a look at Tebow in private workouts. Again, the Eagles are not among them.

* As you may have noticed, Terrell Owens is still without a home. John Czarnecki of FoxSports.com reports that Drew Rosenhaus is asking for no less than $5M per season. T.O. had a visit with the Bengals, but other than that, things have been quiet in terms of teams that are interested.

Don't be fooled by the Browns getting Delhomme and the Seahawks getting Whitehurst. These teams are setting up backup plans in case they can't work out a fair trade for McNabb. They're also strengthening their position for trade negotiations. If the Eagles know that these teams don't have a backup plan then they don't have to lower their demand. McNabb WILL be traded. No doubt.

I think the birds are doing the right thing by getting younger and moving out and releasing players... Westbrook, Andrews, Brown, Babin, Jones, Witherspoon and Clemmons. They are making room for some quality pick-ups in the draft and clearing up some dead contracts. Only a few more moves and we'll be the youngest team in pro football. McNabb, Curtis, Howard, Vick are all potentially trade chips.

McNabb, JParker, Curtis will be gone. They may keep Howard even though his salary will be outrageous because he's their best inside push rusher.

"McNABB IS OUR QB", get over it is the same song every year. Im tired of listening to the same song. Until He is traded "Shut Up". I agree that sometimes he doesn't deliver, but other chnace do we have. He has made the EAGLES a very competitive organization, were every year we have an opportunity to go to the playoffs. I guess you all dont remember the years with Bubby Brister, or R. Pete? I wont even want to remember those days. :'(

Clark from PSU will be a better pro than Tebow, Skelton, or Edwards.

I'd prefer to watch a young Eagles team lose with growing pains playing Kolb behind center than view another "winning" season with McNabb "leading" the offense to another pre-SB playoff exit. He's a stale loaf of bread.

Its about time the eagles organization, make moves to better the team. Its very heart renching to hear Andy Reed saying FatNabb will be our Q-B after how many years of dissapointments for the team and the Die hearted fans of Philadelphia. We deserve better than what we are getting from the team. Its time for a change and Andy or fatNabb, has to go. The eagles locker room is run like a communist state. The players are affraid to speak their mind and say the truth. FatNabb is a hater and dont like any other player than himself to be in the spot light. He is Fat and out of shape, thats why he cannot run any more to gain yards for team if needed. He is not an accurate passer and his skills as a Q-B for how long he has been in the league has decline. The reason why no one respects his leadership in the locker room, he has no heart. And the place is run with an iron fist, you speak you get cut. Thats why only when people leaves they can voice their opinion and shed some light on whats really going on in the organization. Andy Reed is always being out coached, and thats also a major problem for the team. he is a good guy, but when game day comes, you have to bring a football face on game day. Change the play book, adapt and over come.

Armanti Edwards was a great college quarterback with elusive moves and speed to burn, however if the birds want to look at a small college for a Wide Out, I suggest the kid from the Citadel Andre Roberts, he won't be a star in the leauge but he will be a very good player.
