Eagles waive/injured Phillip Hunt, roster at 75

The Eagles waived/injured outside linebacker Phillip Hunt, which means he go on injured reserve if he clears waivers. Hunt has a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament.

The Eagles waived/injured outside linebacker Phillip Hunt, which means he go on injured reserve if he clears waivers. Hunt has a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament. 

The move leaves the Eagles roster at 75 players, which it needed to be by 4 p.m. on Tuesday. They need to trim the roster to 53 on Saturday.

Eddie Whitley also will go injured reserve if no one claims him.
