IS GLAD SPRING TRAINING IS FINALLY HERE
The Eagles have finally won a close and came back after trailing at the end of the third quarter.
“We haven’t had a lot of luck in close ones,” coach Andy Reid said. “This time, the guys battled through and didn’t worry about all that. They just kept banging. I was proud of them for that. The coaches kept pushing.”
Asked about the potential impact of this type of win, Reid said, "That can’t hurt us. That’s a plus. We’ve got a lot of football ahead of us and have a pretty good team coming in next week.”
On Donovan McNabb's effort in the fourth quarter, Reid said: "You’re talking about a Hall of Fame player. He kept everyone positive and upbeat in the huddle and good things happen for him … He didn’t hang his head and kept everyone going. Kept telling them good things were going to happen and kept everyone punching.”
On the importance of the Antonio Dixon blocked field goal: "I thought Dixon’s block was a good momentum changer. We needed something to pick things up.”
On using the no-huddle early in the game: "We know how important it was to start fast against the Bears. We thought utilizing the no-huddle would allow us to get in rhythm and maybe catch them off guard. I thought it would be an effective tool.”
On Joe Mays: “Joe did a nice job. We worked he and Trot in during the game. Trot finished the game. Joe had a lot of productive downs here. He was coming home and was fired to come in and do a nice job.”

only a few seasons after the switch to figure out that there was no
penalty box at the Linc, and that the time really wasn't his, despite
what Andy Reid kept saying. Les came to Philadelphia and the Daily News
from Charlotte in 1983. In the intervening years, he has pretty much
lost track of NASCAR, and his accent. He, his wife Barbara, and their
two sons live in Haddon Township, New Jersey.

Domowitch has been with the Daily News since 1982.
He has spent most of his nearly 3 decades with the paper covering the
Eagles and pro football. For the last 10 years, he’s been a
selector for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. A native of Wilkes-Barre
and a graduate of Wilkes University, Domo started his career in Texas,
working first for the Midland Reporter-Telegram (1976-78), and then for
the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, where he covered some god-awful Texas
Ranger baseball teams. His first beat at the Daily News actually was
boxing, which he covered just long enough to lose 2 sports coats to
blood spatter before moving on to football. Domo and his wife Shelley,
a University of Oklahoma grad who still hasn’t gotten over
that Fiesta Bowl loss to Boise State 5 years ago, have 2 terrific
daughters -- Allison, 28, who is an attorney in South Jersey, and Amy,
25, who works in administration for a professional baseball team.
