The disruptive force that can be Drew Rosenhaus has touched down again in the Eagles’ locker room.

This time, Sheldon Brown got caught in its path and he voiced his displeasure this afternoon about being dragged into something that doesn’t concern him.

On one of his weekly rants sponsored by Sprint and broadcast on YouTube.com (video below - ed.), Rosenhaus talked about how his client Lito Sheppard, despite being a two-time Pro Bowler and an all-around good guy, has had to “endure” all sorts of frustration that has been cast upon him by the Eagles.

Rosenhaus said Sheppard had to watch as the Eagles signed cornerback Asante Samuel to a much more lucrative contract than the one his client is working under and now he has to deal with the “disappointment of starting Sheldon Brown and relegating Lito to the third cornerback on the team.”

Brown shot back at Rosenhaus and questioned whether Sheppard made a wise choice when he replaced former agent Peter Schaffer with Rosenhaus.

“I think sometimes agents can run players careers,” Brown said. “And what I mean by that is we have an agent who has four players who are disappointed with the way their deal is and we’re going into Week 1 and nobody has accomplished anything with those players. I’m bringing this to your attention because it’s how the players play … that gets you paid.”

Brown said Rosenhaus put Sheppard in a difficult position by dragging his teammates into an argument for a new contract.

“If you know the guys track record and what he brings to the table, it’s more of a disappointing thing for me that (Rosenhaus) enticed (Sheppard) to sign with him thinking he could get a deal done,” Brown said. “Agents don’t get a deal done. The player gets the deal done. Yeah, he put him in a tough spot, but at the end of the day that’s something he has to deal with.”Brown said he hasn’t talked to Sheppard about Rosenhaus’ comments.

“I don’t know what extent that Lito knows about the remarks,” Brown said. “I have no beef with Lito. He’s a teammate, a good football player and as long as he’s here to help this team win, we’re fine.”

Sheppard said he had not seen the video, but said he had no problem with what Rosenhaus said or did.

“I have no control over how he’s going to get into the argument about my situation,” Sheppard said. “Stats are stats and it is what it is. If it takes him to say stuff like that, then he obviously feels like there’s a point to be made.

“As far as me, I’m never going to talk bad about somebody else, especially on my team to try to uplift myself,” Sheppard said. “I’m not that kind of guy. I let Drew do his job the way he knows how to do it and I do my job and play football the way I know how to do it. I have no problem with what (Rosenhaus) does.”

If there is any animosity between Brown and Sheppard, it certainly wasn't apparent after practice today.

Sheppard joked with reporters, saying, "Can you all promise you're not going to be on my driveway."

And then he turned to Brown and said, "Sheldon, we have to hug and make up."

Brown smiled and said, "Come on, man."

Remember their rookie year? Lito had a hard time getting on the field, the birds were stacked at corner. Sheldon did well because of his special teams play. Lito and Sheldon are a good tandem, and adding Samuels make them that much better. No offense Joselio, but on third and long I would rather have 24,22,and 26 in there in the nickel package.

here's where I don't let Lito off; he has no problem with what Rosenhaus said? What's that about? These guys act like when they sign an agent, in this case an agent of chaos, that they are without blame for what he says or does on their behalf as their AGENT. That's bull crap. Throwing Sheldon under the bus is as much Lito's problem as it is a classless act by Rosenhaus. These worms they call agents are the lowest form of human; they benefit off of the talent and skills of others because they can be negative, slimey creatures. I could care less about the owners money and am happy that the players get what they want...but at what cost? There is a cost to all of this; disrupt the team, create resentments in the locker, lose your personal pride and dignity. No MAN let's another man do that kind of talking on his behalf. Lito, while not responsible in this case is surely accountable.

That said, the Eagles brass is awfully smug for an organization with zero championships and which has missed the playoffs two of the last three years. On top of that, their scam has been to identify good young players and lock them up with long-term deals that look good to a guy who isn't eligible for free agency. As a fan, I like that scam, but it's not the least bit surprising that players come to resent this. People can say that a contract is a contract, but the team always has the right to cancel the contract and the team doesn't have to pay any non-guaranteed money. I'm not personally worried that a guy like Lito is not getting all of the millions he can, but I can sort of understand why he is frustrated.

Rosenhaus is a moron ... and the NFL shoul dfight his new deal plan at all costs ... what about the player who doesn't play well (like Sheppard who was out injured more than he was to play actual football)then he should owe money back to the team .... A Contract is a Contract - play good ball and sign for a bigger one at the end of it - or if you do not want to lock yourself into a guaranteed safe long term contract sign a 1 year deal ... But any way you cut it Rosenhaus has got to go ... I can't stand that jerk !!!!

Rosenhaus is a jerk, Sheppard is stupid for letting him 'ruin' his name and his career and trash his reputation. Yeah, he'll be mr wonderful on the field, but you don't let someone like this take your name do what he wants to with it. Lito, you are demonstrating idiocy.

YA know...after thinking about all of this, I am starting to get concerned about the direction all of this is going! If you think about it, it is pretty sad. I was at my son's peewee football game the other day and was reminded of why I enjoy the game so much. You watch these kids play and they are just out there havin fun because they love to play. They get to knock eachother around for 1 1/2 hours and they don't get yelled at for beating up on eachother! They get to learn about playing as a team and being leaders and or how to follow unselfishly. Pro football used to be the last pristeen game. But now it is starting to become like all of the other pro sports! If I want to watch a bunch of spoiled rich kids whining that they can't get the toys they want, I will turn on one of the hundreds of stupid reality shows that litter the thousands of channels available to us! When did it stop being a game? Alot of these atheletes are hippocrates! One minute, they say that they are "blessed" to be getting paid to play a game, and the next minute they are on their soap box about how it's just business! Bulll Bleep!!! Every single one of them should be on their knees every night thanking God that they get payed enormous ammounts of money to play a game and that hard working people scrape their money together every year (and sadly some force their families to do without), just so they can enjoy 3 hours of watching the game they love! If there were no fans, there would be no pay check for the atheletes! If you want to get technical, our hard earned money is what pays their salaries! in effect, when they whine they are giving all of us the bird! (Pardon the pun!)

Lito should take a look at what the Birds think of him vs. what other teams think. No one will even give the Birds a 2nd rd. pick for him. Why is anyone going to give him big money? If he stays and plays, and proves he's more valuable that Sheldon, he'll get more money and they'll let Brown leave. If he continues to complain, he'll get nothing and Sheldon will reap all the rewards.

ooh, didnt even see Hairballs' nice comments. uhhmm, players obvioulsy get limited time to be young, healthy & make dough.and they are individuals fighting againt MNC's. the eagles are basically a Multi National Corp and hav near unlimited resourses to maintain legal departments. the birds are cheapskates and prey on the players. the birds weer fools not to pay TO a few extra bucks - i bet they couldve had him for 500K if they acted early. BOOYA! GO BiRDS!!

If he had any common sense, leeeto would play well this year. If he finishes with 7 INT's, with the help of the #1 secondary in the league, he will have many teams knockin on his door. All he has to do is look at the man who is starting in front of him now. The leader of the D has to shut him up now! Drew! you are a wimp.

maximum respekt to JimG !! your post shud be copy & pasted for years to come. dead on perfectly true. TO gave the eagles back pay also, and he wasted all that time sitting around, when he could hav been out catching// well maybe DROPPING passes! ha!. who was the reporter who asked rosenhous what he had actaully done for TO besides getting him suspended - alltime classic, facialed rosie & got TO to snicker which showed us that he at least is partially a regular ol dude. thanks again JimG.

JimG, you are correct about TO's contract situation except you glossed over the little "guaranteed" part. TO was NOT GUARANTEED to make more money with the Eagles than with the Cowboys. That was the issue. This line that Banner goes around spewing about how TO would've earned more money with the Eagles (which you have apparently swallowed hook, line, and sinker) is like comparing someone actually winning the lottery to someone who MAY have a winning lottery ticket if the powers-at-be decide to cash it. Because the last year had such a salary cap hit, everyone knew with Banner's salary cap track record that there was a better than even shot TO was going to be cut before the cap hit came.

Good point Bama. Perhaps the Eagles faithful should ask why these situations with Rosenhaus keep happening. Maybe EAGLES MANAGEMENT could've handled these situations better before they escalated to this point. Maybe if Banner wasn't so worried about being Salary Cap King then he would've guaranteed TO's last year of his contract and kept the peace. And maybe Andy the Mule would've learned from TO that bad chemistry can destroy a season and handled this Lito issue earlier, even if he had to get a lesser deal in return.

Scum is what he is. Disruption is his game. And unfortunately he does win at it in some cases, as Bama points out. But he makes me want to throw up. Self-serving ahole. And his scum is all over you, Lee-to.

Actually, TO didn't really make out better money-wise with the Cowboys. He had a 7.5 million dollar roster bonus that would have been due to him the next season if he stayed with the Eagles. His contract was heavily backloaded with roster bonuses to lower the salary cap hit. While the Cowboys gave him more guaranteed money, he actually could have made more money with the Eagles if he had continued to stay on the roster and he obviously would have because he's still in his prime. So, in the end, he didn't really make out any better. Reminds me a lot of JD Drew going back into the draft and signing with the Cardinals for less than the Phillies final offer to him from the previous year's draft.

Is everyone getting a clear picture of how selfish, egotistical, and ungrateful many professional athletes are? How much time and money did the Eagle’s put into developing Sheppard? The Eagle’s gave this guy the opportunity to play professional football and become a multi-millionaire and he’s acting as if they screwed him over. Part of the reason that Sheppard has done well is the defensive scheme that he plays in and the performance of his teammates. When you have a pass rushing, blitzing defense, it makes things much easier on the secondary. Yet this guy is ready to trash his teammates, the fans who supported him and the team that gave him the opportunity to play. The Eagle’s and the NFL have done an awful lot to create the situation where these guys are getting paid ridiculous amounts of money. I’m starting to question why I even watch these jerks anymore. It's time to move on from sports in general and find something more worthwhile to do for entertainment. These guys are a complete drag.

The problem for the Eagles is that Rosenhaus got TO exactly what he wanted. He doesn't care how much animosity he creates on the team, as long as he gets the end result. Eagle fans don't like to admit it, but TO made out like a bandit with Drew's help. As long as you don't give a sh*$ about you team or teammates, Drew's your man.

You are absolutely right Dog! I think that we Eagle fans should band together and go lynch him! Do you think we can reinstate burning at the stake as punishment just for him???!!! He is the epitome of evil! These things are cyclical...it will come back to bite him! I just hope I am around to see it!

Drouchebag strikes again. NFL owners should get together and agree that they will not offer contracts to any player repped by this slimeball. Either that or let Hugh Douglas beat him up.

Funny thing is Rosenhouse isnt getting anything until Sheppard gets paid so he feels like he has to make things public in order to get paid. This guy is a low life and needs to be band from representing the NFL players.

Lito is responsable for every piece of garbage that comes out of Rosenhaus' mouth. He represents him. Why would anyone hire Rosenhaus? He has done nothing but hurt his clients. Sheldon Brown deserves to start, he is a good corner, not as flashy as Lito is (when hes healthly 1/3 of the time) and is more of a solid type corner, gets burned alot less.

So, Lito, no matter what Drew does, you're fine with it? Even if he badmouths a teammate? If you give him free reign, then there is no difference whether it comes out of his mouth or your mouth.

Does not Rosenhaus work for Lito? I thought the player actually called the shots and for him to sit there and not defend Sheldon is a little disappointing. This guy, Rosenhaus, is a joker and when all he could say was, "next comment", he became a laughingstock.

nice, Lito - why not work on your driveway sit-ups or better yet, practicing tearing up for the camera. You are wrecking your career with this cancer you call an agent. He reps you and Boldin - yet neither has been moved - why is that?!
