Eagles Notes: Too much revelry costs two rookies

Eagles Notes

The NFL confirmed yesterday that Eagles rookies DeSean Jackson and Quintin Demps were each fined $10,000 for excessive celebrating after Jackson's 68-yard punt return for a touchdown Sunday against Washington. No penalty was called.

It was an expensive week for the Eagles. Linebacker Tank Daniels was fined $5,000 for grabbing the facemask of Redskins receiver Antwaan Randle El during a punt return.

Injury update

Defensive end Juqua Parker, who leads the Eagles with 31/2 sacks, did not practice yesterday because of a swollen knee.

"He will, most likely, be out there playing," coach Andy Reid said. Parker was listed as questionable for tomorrow's game at San Francisco.

Wide receiver Kevin Curtis, out since the preseason because of hernia surgery, may see his first action tomorrow. He is listed as questionable.

"He practiced with us [yesterday and Thursday] with the first group," Reid said. "We are just gradually bringing him back in. He is prepared to play."

Safety J.R. Reed will miss the 49ers game because of an injured hamstring and ankle.
