Kurt Warner says West Chester's Ryan Nassib lacks 'wow factor'

Former Syracuse and Malvern Prep quarterback Ryan Nassib has been touted as one of the top prospects in this year's NFL draft.

Former Syracuse and Malvern Prep quarterback Ryan Nassib has been touted as one of the top prospects in this year's NFL draft.

But Kurt Warner, who came out of nowhere to lead the St. Louis Rams to a Super Bowl title, doesn't think Nassib will succeed in the pros.

"I want to see that wow factor from a guy I'm drafting in the first round, and I just didn't see it from Ryan," Warner told NFL Network on Tuesday. "Watching film of this guy - not overly impressive."

Nassib threw for a school record 9,060 yards in four season at Syracuse, including 3,749 in 2012. But since the Big East isn't one of college football's power conferences, there have been questions over whether Nassib could play that well at a higher level.

There aren't too many good quarterback prospects in this year's draft, though, and Nassib is among the higher-rated ones. If he falls far enough, Nassib could still be available when the Eagles make their second-round pick at No. 35 overall.
