Eagles up-down drill

Jim Schwartz UP - The chatter about his candidacy for a head coaching job was obviously premature, but Schwartz proved that he could still draw up an effective game plan. The defensive coordinator blitzed early, often and with variety and Sam Bradford never stood a chance behind a patchwork line.

UP - The chatter about his candidacy for a head coaching job was obviously premature, but Schwartz proved that he could still draw up an effective game plan. The defensive coordinator blitzed early, often and with variety and Sam Bradford never stood a chance behind a patchwork line.

Brandon Graham

UP - The Eagles may not have an elite edge rusher, but they have a very good one in Graham. The defensive end forced Bradford's early interception and later notched his fourth sack of the season.

Jordan Hicks

UP - He had arguably his best game of the season. Schwartz's blitz-heavy package played to Hicks' strengths and had him running all over the field. The linebacker finished with a game-high 11 tackles, three tackles for losses and a sack.

Doug Pederson

UP - Looks like the high-stakes gambler we thought the Eagles were getting at head coach wasn't Chip Kelly after all. Pederson loves to roll the dice and he has yet to crap out. On Sunday, he converted a two-point conversion and a key fourth-and-2 try.

Carson Wentz

DOWN - The rookie quarterback had a dismal first quarter, tossing two interceptions and fumbling a handoff to Darren Sproles. The rest of Wentz's day was better, and he tossed a touchdown to Dorial Green-Beckham, but he was shaky throughout.

Halapoulivaati Vaitai

UP - "Big V" took an early false-start penalty, but he was pretty much invisible the rest of the way. That was a good thing.

Josh Huff

UP - Rather than run around or try to juke Blair Walsh, Huff stormed through the Vikings kicker on his 98-yard kick return for a touchdown. It was an explosive play for the receiver, who also led the Eagles with four catches for 39 yards.

Eagles O-line

UP - It wasn't pretty, and Pederson's short-passing game plan was clearly meant to counter the line's issues, but when you hold the NFL-leading defense to zero sacks, you've done well.

Jason Kelce

DOWN - Wentz could have fielded a few of Kelce's low shotgun snaps, but the center needs to be more consistent with the exchange. It cost the Eagles a number of times.

Ryan Mathews

SIDEWAYS - He ran for some tough yards against one of the best defenses in the league, but Mathews is starting to get the reputation for not being able to secure the football late in games. He's had two fumbles in the final five minutes of games this season.

Rodney McLeod

UP - He snared Bradford's lone pick and later forced a fumble on a corner blitz. McLeod and Malcolm Jenkins - and really the entire Eagles defense - rebounded nicely from last week's disaster at Washington.

Sam Bradford

DOWN - He was a little sharper than Wentz, but Bradford never got in a rhythm and his inability to create in and out of the pocket left him a sitting duck.
