Eagles-Vikings: Les Bowen's pick

THE PICK The Eagles might have a better chance to win this game than fans still despondent over Sunday's drubbing might think. Whatever Sam Bradford knows about his former team, I'm not overly impressed by the list of teams the Vikings have beaten, and I don't see weapons that should lead to Minnesota lighting up Jim Schwartz's defense the way the Redskins did. The Vikings will play a bad game and lose to somebody, sooner or later, probably sooner.

But the Halapoulivaati Vaitai learning curve is unlikely to change dramatically in just one week, and he wasn't the only offensive-line problem area in the loss to the Redskins. Now, the Eagles face the defense allowing the fewest points in the NFL. Maybe you've noticed, Carson Wentz doesn't have great weapons, either.

A win would definitely get the season back on track. I think it's unlikely, though.

Prediction: Vikings 17, Eagles 12
