SAINT JOSEPH'S finished its Atlantic 10 championship season in the second round of the NCAA Tournament with a 28-8 record. When the Hawks play their first game next season, the lineup will look dramatically different. Two of the three leading scorers (Isaiah Miles and Aaron Brown) are seniors. The other double-figure scorer, junior DeAndre' Bembry, the A-10 and Big 5 Player of the Year, is currently in Las Vegas training for the NBA combine next month after giving up his final season of college eligibility. Senior Papa Ndao, usually the first player off the bench last season, is also out of eligibility.

The Hawks got two recruits in the early signing period and just got a third - 6-5 wing Nick Robinson from Chicago's Kenwood High, who will sign during the late period. Robinson chose SJU over California.

Charles Brown, who played last season at St. Thomas More (Conn.) after being the Public League B MVP the previous season at George Washington High, signed last November. Brown, who is 6-6, was joined in the Class of 2016 by 6-7 Gerald Blount from Pomfret (Conn.) School during the early period. Now, Robinson makes it a three-man class that will be part of a roster that will go from extremely talented and experienced to very inexperienced. Time will tell about the talent of the next group.
