Insights

Temple seniors Jaylen Bond and Quenton DeCosey need to snap out of mini-slumps. Bond, who averages a team-high 8.0 rebounds per game, has averaged just 23 minutes and five rebounds in the last three games. DeCosey, who leads the Owls in scoring (15.9 ppg.) has averaged 9.6 points and shot 8 for 34 (.235) in those last three games. . . . Temple will have to combat size against UCF, which is led by 7-foot-6 freshman center Tacko Fall. . . . In the first game, the Knights outrebounded Temple, 47-32. . . . Despite its height, UCF is 10th in the AAC in scoring defense, allowing 72.6 points per game. . . . One area of defense in which the Knights are proficient is three-point defense. They are allowing teams to shoot just .321 from beyond the arc, fourth in the AAC. In Temple's earlier win over UCF, the Owls shot 7 for 23 (30.4 percent) from three-point range, and they likely will have to do better this time.
