Insights

Stopping George Washington guard Patricio Garino is always a tough chore, but lately he has taken his gave up another level, averaging 20 points in the last four games after scoring a career-high 27 points against VCU. . . . Garino is shooting 47.1 percent from three-point range to lead the A-10, but St. Joseph's owns the A-10's best three-point field goal percentage defense, holding teams to a 29.5 percentage. . . . GW forward Tyler Cavanaugh (16.6 ppg.) is the model of consistency, having scored in double figures in every game. . . . While Isaiah Miles (17.3 ppg.) and DeAndre Bembry (17.0 ppg.) are a formidable front-court tandem, St. Joseph's received 30 points from its point guards against Fordham, with Shavar Newkirk scoring a career high 17 and Lamar Kimble adding 13. If the point guards can aid in the scoring, it will take some of the pressure off Miles and Bembry.
