ORLANDO - Tally Hall had four of his seven saves after the 60th minute and Orlando City held off the Union for a scoreless draw Saturday night.

Hall's biggest moments came in the 69th and 87th minutes, saving Cristian Maidana's wide-open shot and Richie Marquez's point-blank header. It was Hall's fourth shutout of the season.

Orlando City (7-10-7) started the game within a point of the final playoff position in the Eastern Conference, but managed only one shot on goal.

Union midfielder Sebastien Le Toux had a chance to give the visiting club the lead, but he smacked his shot off the right post in the 21st minute.

After a physical first half, the Union (6-13-5) opened up the attack and had nearly all the momentum in the second.

Rookie John McCarthy had his first career shutout for the Union.

Recently acquired Swiss midfielder Tranquillo Barnetta made his first start after coming on as a second-half substitute in his debut.

Michael Lahoud made his return to the lineup after missing 13 games with a hip injury.

The Union will face Chicago on Wednesday in a U.S. Open Cup match and again Aug. 16 in Major League Soccer action, both at PPL Park.
