Na leads by a stroke entering final round

He was tied with Ian Poulter before the decisive 17th hole at Colonial.

FORT WORTH, Texas - Kevin Na regained sole possession of the lead with a late birdie Saturday at Colonial, taking a 1-stroke lead over Ian Poulter into the final round.

Na's 1-under 69 in the third round of the Crowne Plaza Invitational included a couple of bogeys. He is at 11-under 199 at a very damp Hogan's Alley.

Poulter, who shot 68, had dropped out of a share of the lead after starting the back nine with a four-putt double bogey. But he was again tied with Na after making a 32-foot birdie at No. 15, the same hole where his playing partner two-putted from 6 feet after his approach missed the green.

With their balls close to each other on the No. 17 green, Poulter had a 15-foot birdie try that slid by the hole. But Na, who had started the day with a 2-stroke lead over Poulter, then made his 14-footer to reclaim the outright lead.

"I trusted my read, a little outside right, and it turned nicely into the hole," Na said. "It was nice because I was under par going into the last hole."

Charley Hoffman's 66 got him to 9-under 201 and alone in third place. Chris Kirk, a two-time PGA Tour winner last season, had a 65 for the best round of the day and was tied for fourth at 8-under 202 with Brandt Snedeker (66).

Defending champion Adam Scott carded his second consecutive 66 since an opening 72. He was tied for 10th at 204 in a group that included Jordan Spieth, the 21-year-old Masters champion from Dallas playing the first of consecutive weeks at home in North Texas.

Spieth, the first-round co-leader after an opening 64 before a 73 on Friday, shot a 3-under 67 with three bogeys.

VIRGINIA WATER, England - Byeong Hun An shot a 5-under 67 to share the lead with Francesco Molinari after the third round of the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.

The South Korean trailed by a shot at the midway stage but made seven birdies, including two in the last two holes, to equal the Italian's overall score of 14-under 202 going into the final day.

Molinari, who has led from round one, shot a 68. Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand was 2 shots back in third after a 68, while Tommy Fleetwood and Miguel Angel Jimenez provided the highlights of the day as they also advanced up the leader board.

The evergreen 51-year-old Jimenez, a winner at Wentworth in 2008, hit a European Tour-record 10th hole-in-one when he converted his tee shot from 148 yards at the par-3 No. 2 with a 9-iron.

It was the Spaniard's third hole-in-one this season, and his round of 68 took him to 10 under and into fifth place.

"I got the right club in my hand and it was a beautiful swing," Jimenez said of his ace. "It is nice to see the leader board and not be too far away."

The 23-year-old An is competing in his first full season on the European Tour.
