The parade Wednesday for the Taney Dragons Little League team will cross through part of Center City and head south on Broad Street through South Philadelphia, city officials said Monday.

The parade will be followed by a rally for the Dragons in Franklin D. Roosevelt Park near the south-side baseball fields. Then the players, coaches, and parents will be celebrated by the Phillies during a pregame ceremony.

The festivities will begin at 2 p.m. at 20th and Market Streets, where the parade will start and head east to City Hall. The parade will proceed around the southwest corner of City Hall and continue south on Broad.

There will be two stops along Broad: The first in front of the Kimmel Center, where the Philly Pops will perform for the team, and then at Washington Avenue, where Mummers will perform.

After the parade and rally, the Dragons will head to Citizens Bank Park for the pregame ceremony, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. All fans in attendance will receive a Taney T-shirt, and a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Taney Little League.

The Taney Dragons, led by star pitcher and Sports Illustrated cover subject Mo'ne Davis, surprised and captivated the region by making a deep run in the Little League World Series, falling one win short of a berth in the U.S. championship game.
